Overview

WakeScrap exposes this Instagram endpoint as a live-data API. The platform keeps the documented request and response shape stable while unifying auth, request tracking, and credits billing.

Fetches detailed metadata for a single Instagram post or reel by shortcode or URL. Returns caption text, like count, comment count, video URL, video play count, video duration, display images, owner info, tagged users, and carousel sidecar children when applicable. Play counts are Instagram-only views and exclude cross-posted Facebook views.

Required params: url.

2-letter country code for the request region.

Example:

trim boolean

Set to true to get a trimmed response

download_media boolean

Set to true to download the video/images and get back permanent media URLs. Costs 10 credits if media is found, 1 credit otherwise.
